Architectural photography is about scale, light conditions, and angle of view. The scale often requires a wide angle lens and a cropped composition. I look less at the building than I do at the shapes, surfaces, patterns, and reflections – the music of architectural subjects.
Architectural photography usually requires travel, at least across the street from your own studio. It doesn’t have to be a grand cathedral. Great subjects are everywhere if you know what to look for.
