You won’t find hundreds of thousands of fans at Infineon or Laguna Seca for historic car race events. It’s not about big sponsors and world championships. It not about setting track records or even about wining. It’s about watching history go by at 100 miles per hour, again and again. It’s about keeping that fine machine as young as the owners and drivers want to feel. It’s about sitting in that seat and taking another practice run. It’s about walking through the pits and watching love affairs with “mistresses” that wives knowingly and willingly married into. Nowhere in the world of historic cars is there more passion or more nostalgia than historic racing.
