Mounting: Prints are dry mounted on 1/4 inch white foam-core board to prevent wrinkling.
Prints without a border are called full bleed prints. But none of the standard sizes listed about are of the same proportions. Consequently, few digital photographs will print perfectly to the edges of the paper in all directions. This means that most digital photographs will be cropped to fit the paper size, or the print may show uneven white at the edges of the print paper. At no additional cost, we can correct this problem by adding a digital mat.
Digital mats are borders printed as part of the image on the photographic paper. A digital mat can be of any color and serves as a visual frame that makes your photograph look more finished. Digital mats save the expense of a mat if you decide to frame your photograph. If we add a digital mat to your print, it will increase the outside dimensions of the print but at no additional cost for the print. I recommend you discuss this option with me before you place your order.
Digital Files: If you would like to make multiple prints of your image for personal use only, you may want to consider purchasing the original digital file. For example, if you might want 30 5×7 prints to insert into your Christmas cards, at $12 per print the cost would be $360 less the 10% multiple-print discount for a total of $324. On the other hand, if you purchased the digital file for your unlimited personal use, the cost is only $150 for a full-resolution file of 60 mega-bites at 240 ppi. I will send to you the file on a disk allowing you to print any number of prints at any size up to 20×30 inches.
